A SALUTE TO BURT REYNOLDS

A SALUTE TO BURT REYNOLDS

Back in the 80’s Burt Reynolds was one of the biggest box office stars in movies and during his peak he was featured on many TV specials.  There is plenty of  fun in this set of two TV specials that featured Burt Reynolds.  Loads of Hollywood stars and even more laughs.

AN ALL STAR PARTY FOR BURT REYNOLDS
Celebrating his 25 years as an actor Burt was joined by Loni Anderson, Dom Deluise, Madeline Kahn, Kris Kristofferson,  Jack Lemmon, Ann Murray, Dolly Parton, Jerry Reed, Jimmy Stewart, Dinah Shore, Jim Nabors, Pat O’Brien and many more.   It was surprises galore during this December 13, 1980 broadcast.

DAME EDNA’S HOLLYWOOD
This TV special from January 2, 1993 is a laugh riot as Australian comic Barry Humphries in the persona of Dame Edna chatted and performed with well known celebrities from her make believe Bel-Air mansion.   The laughs never stop as the grand dame is joined by Robin Leach, Barry Manilow, Ceasar, Romero, Sean Young and Burt Reynolds. This show features some wild slapstick.   Ironically, Dame Edna consistently treats famous people as if they are nobody special and she treats regular people like they are famous! Music was provided by Doc Severinsen.
