FIBBER MCGEE AND MOLLY - Old Time Radio - Volume 1

Fibber McGee and Molly:

Fibber McGee and Molly had its early beginnings as a program called The Smackouts, a five-times-a-week serial. in which the Jordans played. Jim played a garrulous grocery-store owner who was always “smackout” of everything. The Smackouts lasted four years from 1931 - 1935. Fibber and Molly were created for Johnson Wax, which was looking for a new program to sponsor. Fibber McGee and Molly stayed on the air until 1952, usually on Tuesday night at 9:30 p.m. Volume One includes some of the earliest programs. HIGH FIDELITY, AUDIO CD SET. This collection includes 16 shows, digitally remastered and restored for your listening enjoyment. CAREFULLY MANUFACTURED BY NOSTALGIA MERCHANT. Unlike the stuff you hear on satellite radio, these shows have been carefully remastered and restored using limited equalization and noise removal techniques to avoid taking out the warmth and sound quality of old time radio.
