This double feature presents two of the screens great men of mystery.  First it is Bela Lugosi starring in MURDERS IN THE RUE MORGUE.  This is a creepy tale taken from the pages of Edgar Allen Poe with Lugosi as a madman seeking a bride for his pet Gorilla.  It gets especially tense when he traps his intended victim and ties her to a post in his lab. 

Our second movie features Reginald Owen as the famous Sherlock Holmes in SHERLOCK HOLMES: A STUDY IN SCARLET.  The great detective is called upon to investigate a series of slayings of members belonging to an organization known as ‘THE SCARLET RING’.  He finds himself facing one of his greatest challenges visits the home of one of the murdered victims during a dark and spooky night.    A delight for Holmes fans and anyone who loves a good mystery.
